What is collected and why
Newsletter
When you subscribe, your email address is sent to Beehiiv, which stores the list and sends the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to me. Your address is kept until you unsubscribe.
If you write to me, I keep the conversation to reply and to follow up on what we discussed. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you, or steps before a contract if you are asking about consulting (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Correspondence is deleted once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires keeping it longer.
Visit statistics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It does not store IP addresses and does not follow you across sites. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs
Like any web server, the hosting provider briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there is no cookie banner. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
Who processes the data
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosting and visit statistics.
- Beehiiv Inc. (USA) — the newsletter.
Transfers to the United States rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Your data is not sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@tomasbui.cz and I will reply within a month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů.
